Polestar is an electric vehicle manufacturer which aims to ‘ improve the society we live in ’ by transforming the cars that we drive . Headquartered in Göteborg , Sweden , the company was founded in 2017 and has recently developed its Polestar 4 , a new electric vehicle and the fastest production car the company has developed to date .
In as little as 3.8 seconds , the Polestar 4 can go from 0 to 100 km / h and has a maximum power output of 400kW ( 544 hp ), which makes for an entertaining and connected drive . The infotainment system powered by Android Automotive OS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform offers a 15.4-inch landscape screen . Google Assistant , Google Maps and Google Play offer up to five passengers – and seven airbags – a connected experience . The car has also brought forth new partnerships which have utilised intelligent safety technology , such as Mobileye ’ s SuperVision Advanced Driver Assistance System . Polestar 4 hosts twelve cameras , one radar and twelve ultrasonic sensors which unite to offer maximum safety . This includes a driver monitoring camera , which when combined with the hands-on detection in the steering wheel and the driver monitoring system , helps to protect the driver from potential fatigue or accidents .
