Working with several different categories of partners , Harrison Street recognises the importance of collaboration when it comes to ESG commitments .
“ Being solely the investor , not the manager of properties , our building operating partners and property managers are on the front lines ensuring building efficiency projects are implemented , bespoke social programmes are undertaken , and tenant engagement is successful ,” Brosig explains .
“ We work closely with them to educate them on the power of ESG and how it aims to make the building more attractive and higher performing . We have both one-on-one meetings with these partners to discuss sustainability strategies tailored to their property , as well as hosting operating partner conferences where topics discussed range from utilisation of new technologies , marketing approaches , building operations and tenant engagement programmes .”
Harrison Street also works closely with world-renowned academic and research organisations . Brosig shares : “ This includes our relationship with The Well Living Lab , a collaboration between Delos and Mayo Clinic , where we are conducting field studies within senior living homes to determine how the indoor environment impacts occupant health .”
