INSIDE MERCEDES’ PANCAKE MOTOR

Mercedes-Benz subsidiary YASA has advanced axial flux motors which take up 50 % less volumetric space than the radial equivalent. This technology, now inside the CONCEPT AMG GT XX, enables high power from an extremely compact package and will enter series production at Mercedes-AMG in 2026. With a peak output of more than 1,000 kW, the CONCEPT AMG GT XX can reach top speeds of more than 360 km / h.
